Uang NKRI Baru Resmi Beredar pada 18 Agustus

Masyarakat Indonesia akan memiliki desain baru mata uang rupiah, yakni uang Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (NKRI). Rencananya uang ini akan resmi diluncurkan ke masyarakat pada Senin (18/8/2014).

Direktur Departemen Komunikasi Bank Indonesia (BI) Pieter Yakobs mengatakan uang ini akan diluncurkan seiring perayaan Hari Kemerdekaan Indonesia ke-69 pada 17 Agustus 2014.

"Iya (kami jadi meluncurkan) uang baru. Mulai beredar nanti pada 18 agustus," jelas dia saat berbincang dengan Liputan6.com, Selasa (12/8/2014).

Namun Peter enggan merinci bentuk, pecahan maupun ciri khas dari uang yang akan menjadi alat penukaran di tanah air ini.

Bank Indonesia, kata dia, akan menerbitkan keterangan pers pada 14 atau 15 agustus yang akan menjelaskan detail tentang uang baru NKRI ini. "Di situ akan dijelaskan ciri khas, nilai awal," tambah dia.

Sebelumnya, Bank Indonesia (BI) mengaku telah mencetak puluhan juta lembar uang Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (NKRI). Deputi Gubernur BI, Ronald Waas mengungkapkan, persiapan yang dilakukan BI untuk menerbitkan uang NKRI sudah hampir selesai. Saat ini, tahap yang sedang dilalui adalah pencetakan.

"Nyetaknya (uang) sudah lama, karena waktu yang dibutuhkan bukan cuma seribu atau dua ribu lembar, tapi kebutuhannya sampai puluhan juta lembar. Dicetak secara bertahap," tutur dia.

Menurutnya, BI telah mempersiapkan segala sesuatunya terkait penerbitan uang NKRI, mulai dari desain sampai pendistribusian. Namun, saat ini Ronald belum bisa mengungkapkan secara panjang lebar mengenai rinciannya.

Alasannya, penerbitan uang anyar perlu dibarengi dengan keluarnya PBI yang menjadi landasannya. "Nanti kami akan terbitkan PBI yang mengatur lebih detailnya," ujar dia.

Untuk diketahui penerbitan uang NKRI ini untuk melaksanakan amanat dari Undang-Undang Nomor 7 Tahun 2011 mengenai Mata Uang.

Seusai dengan undang-undang, uang NKRI nanti akan terdapat gambar lambang negara Garuda Pancasila, frasa Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia dan tanda tangan pihak pemerintah dalam hal ini Menteri Keuangan dan Bank Indonesia. (Nrm)
